Individualized "Crap baskets". When you find someone's crap lying around the house you put it in their individual baskets and they have to be taken up with them and emptied by the end of the night....and if it's not emptied, maybe the "crap fairy" will come during the night and steal their crap... This would be a great idea for kids & grandkids who visit and leave things. When they return, it is easy for them to retrieve and take come. Or use to organize pre-bought gifts for family members

Another wonderful house that's SO not a bungalow or tudor, but that I love anyway!

Great Idea - "Crap Baskets" during the day as you find things, place them in the basket. When the kids are on their way upstairs, they take their "crap basket" up to their rooms to be put away. Saves you climbing up and down the stairs all day long.

Crap Baskets. Every family member has a basket with their name on it. Crap that's picked up around the house is tossed in the Crap Basket. There's also a tutorial for making a staircase gate. This blog is awesome.

An Organized Family Mount mail boxes, file holders, or matching baskets to a wall near the back door. Assign each family member a container and fill with essential items. Train kids to drop mail and important papers in the appropriate containers. Leave useful items for children -- such as lunch money, signed documents, or umbrellas -- and encourage them to check their container before leaving for the day.
