FREE Homework Incentive~ When the entire class completes a homework assignment on time, hang up one flag. With the letters in "homework" and a starting and ending decorative flag, there are 10 flags in all. When the banner is complete, give the class extra recess, a homework pass,or whatever incentive works for your classroom. The toughest part of this plan-- laminating the reusable flag pennants. Great, new twist on a tried-and-true idea!

Love this ticket out the door accountability poster! Every student has a number, so you can visually see who has and has not turned in their ticket.

When a child is unfriendly, they have to pick a random act of kindness. This is a great tool for redirection instead of disciplining.

Teaching With a Mountain View: First Day of School Activities for Big Kids

When students complete a book or their completed reading log, they get to pick a sucker! Now, some of these suckers have black dots on the ends of the stick. If they are lucky enough to pull out one of those, they get to pick from the treasure box or another sucker. Easy & FUN to do! Could work in a junior high with a homework pass or bathroom pass--or simply extra credit

First week of school activity-have each student decorate a puzzle piece to describe themselves and then put together on a wall. Love this idea for creating a classroom community.
