The Church Triumphant: the Church as Communion brought to fulfillment. The better way to put it is not just that the Church is founded "by" Jesus Christ, but that it is founded through, with, and in Jesus Christ: rooted and built up in Him, firm in the Faith [Col 2:7]. This is why the gates of Hell will not prevail against her, and why crisis in the Church presents opportunity for renewal (and why crisis in the Catholic Church is more of a flooded basement than an existential meltdown).
