Phillip Miller, 1957 (C.I.57.17.3) | The silhouette of the 1910s is a revival of the Directoire and Empire styles, but here it is blended with a turn-of-the-century monobosom. Once again, a new silhouette was founded in reference to past style. The revealing neckline conforms to an unsupported bust, creating a soft, languorous silhouette.

1930's olive green silk velvet dress (back), without jacket. The dress has a boat neckline, rhinestone shoulder clips, and a short train. It is cut on the bias to ensure maximum cling; the dress hugs the body and drapes beautifully.
