Wonderful example of the menswear suits and matching hats that were so popular. In fact, my aunt took one of her husband's suits & made my Mom a very nice striped worsted wool suit...she was a marvelous seamstress!
I remember shoes like that when I was a kid. We called them saddleshoes or oxfords. Sneakers had not been invented yet. We had Keds, which could be called tennis shoes as well. They had no cushioning in the soles and would be painful to actually play tennis in or to wear for eight hours on your feet at work.
