Drying herbs at home and storing them for later use

Create a herb drying rack for your window. A temporary option perfect for small living!!

Why and how to dry your own herbs | Our Heritage of Health

It’s best to dry herbs that have pronounced flavors and tough or needle-like leaves — such as rosemary, thyme, sage, oregano, lavender, mint and bay. Freeze herbs with more subtle flavors and tender leaves — such as parsley, cilantro and chervil. Preserving basil is the exception: It dries well, but its flavor is brighter if frozen.

Freeze fresh herbs in olive oil! Now you can easily add the cubes to pasta or potato dishes, stews, soups, or for roasting onions, garlic, and other veggies.

How to Dry Herbs | also included how to make aromatic firestarters. Como secar hierbas de olor I dont think I would use newspaper, because of the ink,for herbs you consume! This is fine as a firestarter
