When our volunteer team was visiting an orphanage in Anhui, Patrick was brought in. A quick evaluation determined that he was a newborn with an intestinal malformation and needed emergency surgery. That very night, our team rushed Patrick to the hospital where he had life-saving surgery; he now appears to be doing very well. Donations towards this newborn baby's surgery costs will be gratefully accepted in any amount.
Kasen was just a tiny ten day-old baby when he was admitted to the hospital for surgery to correct his twisted intestines. He is now 7 months-old and doing great! Kasen is gaining weight and has become quite the charmer! To get the attention of his favorite nannies he just puts on a big, sweet smile. Thank you to all that helped give this precious, little boy a chance.
Brent is four months old and weighs only a little over eight pounds. He is going to need two more surgeries for his anal atresia, as well as likely needing a heart surgery. That unfortunately means a lot of time in the hospital for this tiny guy! Brent is in need of sponsors to rally to help him overcome his rough start in life and to help with the cost of the care he is receiving.
Tiny Peanut came to LWB at 5 months old weighing only 4.5 pounds. She was struggling with spina bifida, and we were worried she wouldn't survive. But... Peanut is a fighter. She had surgery July, 2013 and is recovering well, soon to be discharged from the hospital.
Little Levi was born with complete transposition of the great arteries, PDA, ASD, and VSD. He had surgery and fought back against several complications. He is now continuing to heal at the Anhui Healing Home, and we are so glad to see his beautiful eyes!
Beautiful Yan was sent to Shanghai Children's Medical Center for surgery after our medical director met her on a trip to China. We are so grateful to all of our medical donors who allow these children's lives to be saved and who give each child the absolute best chance of someday finding a forever family. We believe anyone who looks into Yan's eyes would understand that international boundaries do not matter when it comes to the life of a child.
