Dystopian books are one of my favorite things to read. I wonder what that says about me. Goodreads is a great website too! They're like pandora for books - take what you like and introduce you to similar ones.

Dystopian books and stories take up most of the slots on my list of favorite works. This is an infographic about dystopian literature over the years

Interesting info-graphic on the re-surgence in popularity of dystopian novels (recent examples include "The Hunger Games" and "Divergent"). "Dystopian Books Again Seize Power: The Dystopian Timeline to The Hunger Games" from Goodreads.

Even better...I am on Mockingjay...cannot wait to see the Hunger Games movie!

  • Bethany Wright

The movie was way overrated. The first half was boring, the second half was predictable.

Bethany Wright Ummm... Of course it was predictable - it was based off the movie hon.

Awesome! I think I want to check out Article 5! Right now I'm listening to the audio book of The Darkest Minds, also a near future dystopia and kids with telekinetic powers in government internment camps.

Never mind about article 5, a lot of the reviews are pretty scathing! "Don't waste your time , you've read this before and it was done better" sounds like a Hunger games knockoff without the games, or a poorly researched version of the Handmaid's Tale (which I've read and listened to twice (narrated by Claire Danes!) and highly recommend!)

I loved this book! I did not want to put this book down and I felt like I was right in the middle of the story. The teens in this story question the status quo (which is a pretty horrific time) to try and escape what they were predestined to do. The adult version of Unwind.

This is beautiful and only 5 dollars. A very talented artist! Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark - The Hunger Games - 7x10'' print
