There was a time when superheroes confined themselves to the pages of comic books piled up in a kids room. Now they're on the big screen and in the mainstream of pop culture. Commentator Adam Frank says there are winners and losers in this transformation.
“Here’s the story of an angry Loki, who was hell-bent on ruling the lovely Earth. He had long hair of black, and was stolen from his home after birth. Here’s the story, of a man named Fury, who was busy running S.H.I.E.L.D on his own. He called in four men, put them together, the Earth was not alone. Then when day, when Loki met this fellow, they knew it was much more than a hunch, that this group would somehow form a family. That’s the way we became the Fury Bunch, the Fury Bunch.”
