The Hundertwasser tower, designed by Austrian Friedensreich Hundertwasser, was built in Abensberg, south Germany, 10 years after his death. The tower is 35 meters high and 6 meters is diameter, twice smaller than the original project of the architect. A wonderful view of the town opens from the upper site of the tower, which has no straight lines.
Located in Portugal and known as the Odeleite River to locals, the river’s forbidding twists make it easy to understand why it’s often given another name: the Blue Dragon River.
Heart Reef, in the Great Barrier Reef of the Whitsundays, is a stunning composition of coral that has naturally formed into the shape of a heart. Located in Hardy Reef, Heart Reef is best experienced from the air by helicopter or seaplane, as visitors are unable to snorkel or dive there due it's protected status.
Bavaria, Germany village - This photo reminds me of the many villages we saw when we volksmarched in Germany. There is something very humbling about walking on a road or path that has survived, literally, centuries. This cobblestone road is possibly hundreds of years old!
