How to Decorate Series {day 21}: Discovering Your Decorating Style by Beneath My Heart

Laundry / Mud room - L shaped mudroom (use same teal cabinets and checkerboard flooring from kitchen and create individual nooks for each family member). Additional closets used for storage for each family member.

Mud room: bottom shelf for boots, then shoes, then hooks for coats, umbrella, backpacks & purses, then top shelf for hats and gloves-baskets

we took out the tiny/short closet that was in the old bedroom and replaced it with these open cubbyhole-style shelves. We kept it simple: no doors, no molding, no drawers. Just an easy place to put things, to get them out of our living space and keep them in one central spot.

cubbies- have with out-of-season flip through a hinged closet system. The board with hooks can be slipped off of notch to enter. Inside would be a few hinged coat hangers (for bulky winter and rain coats & pants), a clothing ladder (for draping the less bulky outdoor clothing), and a peg-hole rack (for things like hats, scarves etc.).
