Got Pallets? Hate weeding? Dont feel like turning up a bunch of grass? Use a pallet as a garden bed - staple garden cloth on the backside of the pallet fill with dirt and start growing! You can also place your pallet on the ground in a rocky location rather than a grassy area, this way you will not need the garden cloth to stop the weeds and grass comin through! What a great idea! I'm a fan of square foot gardening, and this takes it to another level -- esp. good for greens, and perhaps with carrots mixed in. Love that it contains the dirt in the raised bed. Pallet Garden Bed (March '12)

Pallet Garden Bed. Smart! Keeps weeds down and it is a pre made raised bed! I would only use untreated pallets though. They will break down after a year, but pallets are easy enough to find! GREAT for small spaces or someone renting that can't till up their place!
