    Pretty sure this is who Edna is based on for The Incredibles. Edith Head (1897-1981) had minimal art education and no fashion design experience when she became a costume sketch artist at Paramount Pictures in 1924. She eventually won 8 Oscars for Costume Design, more Oscars than any other woman has won.
