Now that summer is here, it is a great time to build a reading nook in your home. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, but it’s a great way to emphasize and encourage reading. How fun would one of these reading nooks be? A simple fort made with pillows and blankets would also do the trick.

The tree is cheap, brown tissue paper glued to the wall using Elmer's school glue. The shelves are melamine from Ikea sprayedbrown using Krylon plastic paint. The leaves are cut from a Junie B. Jones book. The cocoon is from Ikea as well.

I don't speak Dutch, but I just love this... may be making a trip to the Netherlands in the future to buy a post-crib bed for Liam!
