Love the idea of the stripes on a small section of wall This would work in a shared bedroom too. Just do the stripes where the 'headboard' is, or head of the cot.

For a break from the traditional primary color scheme for baby boys, use softer, lighter, sweeter colors in a nursery. Also, this room proves that you don't need to paint an entire wall in stripes in order to get the great effect - just highlight the area behind the crib for an adorable touch. You could change up the colors for a baby girl or go more neutral

@Kayla Dees, How about wallpapers panels to spruce up the room? That way you can take them down if you move or no longer like them.

The same scheme but navy blue instead of baby blue for Jacob's room. Love these colors!!!!! keeping this for the future! Another view of the owl nursery - it is boys.. but I can easily transform it with some pink! :) Now... to get "the perfect aqua" paint and some orange for pop. So excited for Siena's room! (it's official, I'm going with an aqua, green, tangerine, and hot pink color scheme)

I love the idea of not knowing the sex of the baby until they are born, so in case Matt and I go that route when we have one I found this lovely gender-neutral baby room. :)

Love how they painted the ceiling and down some of the wall, then started w/ the wall color! So simple. Such an impact.

Gray paint - Sparrow by Behr Love the color combo of gray, turquoise, orange and green. I will never decorate another nursery, but love this color combo!

criss cross wall---- i could do this in a rental with electrical skinny tape or thin masking tape

Instead of painting the whole room, just choose a color for an accent wall. Then get curtains or other accessories to match. I love this idea because my kids' rooms can match the rest of the house better, and because it saves so much time!

Modern #baby blue #nursery, The Arm & Hammer™ Diaper Pail by #Munchkin in light blue would be the perfect accessory

didn't think I'd like stripes around my room, but this color combo is SO great!

Wall of book's in baby's nursery.. I so want to do this with all the books i got from my shower!!! ♥

this wall is great! You could make this feminine or gender neutral whatever you want its brilliant!

Yellow and Gray would be a perfect neutral since we're probably not telling what our next one is :)
