Baby Bowden's Nursery

This is the room we prepared for our first baby- a little girl due November 1, 2011. Though we knew we were having a girl, I wanted to keep the room on the neutral side, so it could "grow up with her", and potentially be used for future kiddos as well. Not sure why the practicality stops when she can roll over. My daughter is one and I. Still change her on this exact same setup. It works great.

I'm referring to the items around the pad and table. All children are different. My son would have know led the picture frames and decor from the walls

I used a large desk with the same set up as this one for my daughter. Having the pencil drawer in the center was great for diaper cream, thermometer. Large file drawers were perfect for diapers and blankets. Regular side drawers for pj's and onesies.

It's beautiful but for sure the more active kids could have this area destroyed quickly. I haven't tried this but I'm wondering if the frames could be secured with those sticky Velcro things in the corners to keep them from moving. We actually have the zebra and giraffe hanging in my sons room but in a more out of reach place, however my son did manage to climb the rocker and knock down the giraffe once. Its very light so no injury to baby or giraffe!

Use of a retro furniture piece is just as functional in the nursery and can grow with the changing style of the room as baby grows
