A Gentleman's Quarters Nursery

I wanted a nursery that was masculine and sophisticated. Playing off of my son's nick name, Gent, I decided a"Gentlemans Quarters" theme was a perfect fit.

I don’t know why but I am compelled to use chalkboard paint in everyone of my homes as seen here in Chase’s nursery.

I like the idea of painting a small section of stripes and framing it in with trim instead of doing a whole big wall. Still makes a big impact, but not as WHOA NELLY. Bennetts nursery by Rebecca for Project Nursery-Doesn't have to be just for the nursery.

painted the whole room first using Dulux China Doll quarter strength and the following day used painters masking tape to mark of the width if the stripes we wanted (around 25cm for the grey stripes) and then painted the stripes with Dulux Chocolate Shake. Top tip – by having a light stripe at both the top and bottom of the wall it seems to make the room seem taller!!
