Love this decor but this baby should be on her back, not her belly....

Anyone heard of tummy time?!? Assuming this baby is sleeping? Ever heard of what assuming does?

  • Sarah Zuniga

Look. As a medical professional, yes a baby should be placed on their backs. HOWEVER, all 3 of my kids were extremely uncomfortable on their backs. They, like mommy and daddy, are tummy sleepers. I have an infant now, and she is only comfortable on her tummy or side. Their medical issues made it painful on their backs. SIDS no longer. Accidental suffocation, aspiration of vomit, over heating, etc have been proven to be the real culprits of "SIDS" babies.

Do not assume that bad parenting is involved until you know all the information. Shoot... It could be a doll for the picture for all you know.

If you take a look at the picture, it is not written in English. In Europe, they do not put babies on their backs nor do they feel you need to feed your child every time they wake up at night; they just do things differently. So for all of higher moms who are in an uproar understand that every country has different beliefs and methods. I know this because my girlfriend has 2 children overseas while her husband was in the service . Both of her children turned out just fine ladies!!

    Woohoo Katie!!! Totally agree!!

Yellow and Gray would be a perfect neutral since we're probably not telling what our next one is :)

Digging Keely Reyes' I Spy Series! Keely Reyes

Good idea for the next one.. Baby's room: Keep it gray and white before the baby arrives and then add pink or purple if you have a girl and teal or blue if you have a boy!
