I wanted to create a space that was modern and sophisticated so it would appeal to me and my husband yet still be fun, cute, and childish so our baby boy would grow to love it.

I like the idea of painting a small section of stripes and framing it in with trim instead of doing a whole big wall. Still makes a big impact, but not as WHOA NELLY. Bennetts nursery by Rebecca for Project Nursery-Doesn't have to be just for the nursery.

Behind the crib is a swath of bright drapery fabric from LULU DK's new children's fabric line for Schumacher, while vintage oil portraits are tacked onto the closet door with nail heads for a more casual look. Tamara believes that kids are never too young to start appreciating art, so while the artist of these prints is unknown, she loves the "Mark Ryden meets Tim Burton feel" of them.
