Woodward Park in Tulsa. For some reason, I haven't seen many flowers here in the past year, but I'm hoping it will look like this again soon. I've been here many times; it's one of my favorite parks in Tulsa

Woodward Park, Tulsa - In 1909 the isolated tract of land was condemned by the city for a park site. At that time it was considered "too far out in the country" and early Tulsans doubted that the 45-acre site would ever be a valuable asset. Today the 45-acre park includes rock gardens, an English herb garden, a terraced Italian Renaissance rose garden, a Victorian conservatory (Lord and Burnham), a three-acre arboretum and an azalea garden with over 15,000 azaleas.

Blue Dome District What once was a 1920s gas station attracting Route 66 travelers with its Art Deco blue dome is now the hub of Tulsa's downtown nightlife scene. Laid-back pubs and watering holes abound, regularly playing host to the best in local bands. The district is also known for its annual art festival featuring local artists. The Blue Dome Arts Festival runs the same time and within walking distance of Tulsa's annual Mayfest.
