Homemade deodorant-good for kids to use who start having body odor. My SIL is a dermatologist and did not recommend my daughter using most deodorants sold in the US b/c of the aluminum. We found her one brand without, but it would be good to know how to make our own.

Recipes for homemade deodorant. Why is this important? Because anti-perspirants contain aluminum and they are believed to be one of the biggest causes of Alzheimers. No proof, but why take chances. I trashed my club aluminum because I didn't want anyone else to take a chance, especially after my mother came down with and she had used those pots for 30 years.
This is the best coconut oil homemade deodorant ever: simple to make, will help you with irritation and will leave your skin soft. Enjoy! | See more about coconut oil, coconut oil deodorant and baking soda.
Homemade all natural deodorant. Only three ingredients. My husband and I (Amy) have been using this for MONTHS. Just getting ready to make my second batch. It lasts forever and works fabulously. My husband prefers it to store bought deodorant, and he is very very picky! (It's four ingredients if you choose to add essential oils. We prefer unscented.)
Natural Deodorant! Rather than using a deodorant with aluminum, this is made with coconut oil (SO good for you), baking soda (to absorb odor), arrowroot powder ( I think to absorb liquid), and essential oils of your choice. I used lavender (great for healing of skin) and Lemon (antibacterial). Smells great, too! Let's see how it works! So far, so good!
Homemade Probiotic Deodorant 1 T coconut oil 1T cocoa butter 1 T beeswax 1 T shea butter 2.5 T arrowroot powder 1 T clay, (I used kaolin, but bentonite or french green would be fine also) 1/4 t vitamin E oil (2-4 capsules) 2 shelf-stable probiotic powder capsules essential oils– aprox. 10-25 drops
Another antiperspirant recipe - I've been looking for a natural alternative to regular antipersirants containing aluminium, and all the natural deodorants I've bought have failed miserably on their own. So, I decided to try them together with the powder part of this recipe (using the natural bought deodorant instead of the oil), and IT ACTUALLY WORKS :-)
