14 Social Media History. I didn't grow up online, but I grow increasingly interested and active within social media outlets. I use Twitter to share my interests and network among writers/editors; Instagram to keep connected to my family and friends; LinkedIn to connect professionally; Pinterest to connect creatively.
Some useful research from InSites Consulting, who conducted a survey of 400 senior marketing managers in the US and the UK. Most importantly, it found a positive correlation between the extent of social media integration and the company’s financial results. The results are summarised nicely in this infographic:
