NYT Cooking: This banana bread from Mark Bittman's "How to Cook Everything" is really something special. One-fourth of the flour is whole wheat, which contributes a kind of depth you’d miss if it weren’t there. There are walnuts — not unusual, but again, you’d miss them if they weren’t there, And the key, secret ingredient, is coconut. Which really puts the thing over the top.
Old Fashioned Biscuit Bread - A quick biscuit bread, sometimes called hoecake bread, fried in bacon drippings in a screaming hot, cast iron skillet on top of the stove. My note--I think this is very similar to my grandma's depression biscuits. Must try!!
Lasagna Cupcakes... Im thinking of making on the side a garlic cheese biscuit in a large muffin mold pan and then take a small muffin pan on top halfway through cooking to create a cup top to it and then add this too the top.. MMMmm
