I don't know whether to run or stay still, but I know that for some odd reason, I'm not afraid. I know that this animal could rip me to shreds, I know that it is dangerous, but I am too entranced by its sleek grace to do anything but stare. For some reason, the panther doesn't attack. It just stares back, its amber eyes regarding me just as steadily.

I'm not overly find of cats, but growing up I had a black cat named Whiskers. I got her at the age of 4 and she died when I was 21. She got sick suddenly but held on until I could get home from college and say goodbye. I missed her a lot in the beginning and think of her every time I see a black cat. I ♥ you Whiskers!
