The diet consists mainly of various insects, fruits, berries, seeds, snails and chameleons. The female usually lays two white eggs in nest made from twigs.

    Kaka (Nestor meridionalis) is a large species of parrot of the superfamily Strigopoidea found in native forests of New Zealand. It is endangered and has disappeared from much of its former range.

    Crested Owl:The Crested Owl is strictly nocturnal and feeds mainly on large insects like caterpillars or beetles although probably will take some small vertebrates too. It can mostly be seen perched along streams and forest gaps.
