The Lost Gardens of Heligan - Mud Maid The sleeping Mud Maid was created by local artists Sue Hill and her brother, Pete. This, and their other mud sculpture The Giant's Head, were designed to enhance the woodland experience, following the fashion of Victorian ornamentation. They have become the inspiration for two Heligan-themed children's books written by Sandra Horn and illustrated by Karen Popham. http://www.lookaroundcornwall.com/gardens-and-nature/the-lost-gardens-of-heligan-mud-maid.htm

Something about this intrigues me. I love old, interesting buildings with character and chimneys and flower boxes and don't think for one second I missed the vine growing up the drain spout... :) I love all its beautiful imperfections.
