These are a no-no for Bettas. Contrary to popular myth, bettas do not like to be in small pools of water; in the wild, betta are only confined to small pools of water for 2 or 3 months TOPS, the rest of the time they swim in thousands of gallons of slow moving, shallow, highly filtrated, warm water. These bowls quickly accumulate ammonia and nitrites and shorted your betta's life from 4 years to 2 years on average. So, pretty for plants, bad for betta. Try the bookshelf tank from PetCo.
