Douglas Macarthur (Youngest American General) He was the head of the Pacific Theatre of WWII. He defended the Philippines freedom and independence. After two years of war on Japan he accepted their surrender and oversaw the Japanese Occupation of Japan from 1946 to 1951. Lastly he lead our armies into Korea in the 1950's and was retired.

The Moro are Muslims and are the largest non-Christian group in the country (about 5% of the total population). The Moro Rebellion (1899-1913) was an armed conflict between Moro revolutionary groups in the Mindanao, Sulu, and Palawan (Minsupala) and the U. S. military which took place in the Philippines between 1899 to 1913, following the Spanish-American War in 1898.

"The glorious Jones Law has struck the hour of justice for the Filipino people" the captions read. The Jones Law allowed for very limited power to the Philippines after the Philippine-American War. It set up a constitution modeled after the U.S. government. Although this law allowed for semi-autonomy, it also limited them by not allowing them to pass laws without direct approval from the President of the U.S.
