    pit bull

Astoundingly, for most of our history America’s nickname for Pit Bulls was “The Nanny Dog”. For generations if you had children and wanted to keep them safe you wanted a pit bull, the dog that was the most reliable of any breed with children or adults.

Pitbulls are actually the original nanny dog!

Fear of pitt bulls usually comes from misinformation. If you raise them with love instead of teaching them to become a fighting menace, they are extremelu adorable. They are TAUGHT to fight, to be mean or cruel. This is NOT inherent of the breed- misunderstood & much maligned. They were used by generations of families as "nanny dogs" because of the compassionate nature, gently protective ways & how attached they became to "their" children & families. RAISED RIGHT MAKES ANY DOG SAFE & LOVING!
