Empty Bowls fundraising dinners are all over the country all year long... if you hear of one, GO!! (great way to collect local pottery) Anchorage, Alaska's is just as big as the original empty bowl- thousands of potters from ALL OVER THE STATE donate!!

Empty Bowls (On a personal note: I love taking classes at the John C. Campbell Folk School and have heard of this fundraising idea before. One idea is to have children make pinch pots at school in art class and each participant gets to eat soup from and keep a pot/bowl with proceeds helping hungry children.) Great awareness fundraiser!
