The first of a number of books by Peter James based on a fictional Brighton based Detective, Roy Grace who is tasked with solving the case of 4 dead men on a stag party and a missing groom.... the start of my addiction to Peter James novels. Read them, you won't be disappointed!
“The best moments in reading are when you come across something - a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things - which you had thought special and particular to you. And now, here it is, set down by someone else, a person you have never met, someone even who is long dead. And it is as if a hand has come out, and taken yours” Alan Bennett
What can I possibly say about this book? It's one of the best stories and most well-written books ever. Bradbury, as always, relied heavily on his reader's information to fill in the gaps, and usually, I find that sloppy writing, but with this--with this story--it works; like a haunting nightmare hovering on the edge of your memory. Ah, great stories and fantastic writing make me swoon :D
21 Modern Mysteries You Won't Be Able to Put Down: It all began with an early obsession with Nancy Drew, then I moved on to Sherlock Holmes and Agatha Christie, and before I knew it I was devouring any book that promised thrills, intrigue, and murder.
