Artist Peter Huntoon says: A vibrant meadow of Goldenrod along Route 30 in Dorset is bathed in the glow of an afternoon sun. This painting was done earlier this week, and we couldn’t ask for better weather. Vermont days like these are savored indeed. I used a nice warm under-painting followed by enthusiastic palette knife work to create the organic textures.
Artist: Andre Kohn (My note: The paint technique itself, as opposed to simply painting the "rain", makes it appear as though there's a gusty storm. I thought this was a still from film where the lens had gotten seriously wet-over! Genius.)
