Rene Magritte - The catapult of the desert, 1926 -

Rene Magritte has always been one of my favorite artists, since I saw a "showing" of his work at MOMA in NYC. Amazing paintings!

Rene Magritte "Man in a Bowler Hat, 1964" {not sure why I like this so much, but I do... it makes me chuckle a little.}

"The Son of Man," 1964 Groundbreaking surrealist, Rene Magritte (1898 – 1967) was a master at mixing wit with illusion. Despite early criticism of his work, he became one of the world’s most significant artists. Magritte often blocked his subject’s face with a floating object, as in “Son of Man,” to challenge human assumptions about the unknown. Magritte’s work remains mentally stimulating and highly influential.
