Eating Clean means eating ONLY foods made by Nature....lean proteins, Good fats(nuts seeds, avocados, fish oils, olive oil), and Good carbs(Veggies, Fruit).  If its Man-Made your body wasnt designed to use it.  Sugars, HFCS, Processed foods, Breads, sweets, icecreams, soda, chips, these trigger fat GAIN. We forget that the true purpose of eating is to nourish our bodies so it can function properly ( if it tastes good, thats an extra plus!) By not eating well we are letting our bodies struggle and they have to overcompensate for what we don't give them. So just eat healthy!!
