How to propagate hydrangea Flowers Garden Love
Rooting hydrangea cuttings - Locate a stem of softwood and cut a shoot that has several leaves. Trim it into 5-inch-long pieces that each have a leaf toward the top. Remove extra leaves; then cuts the remaining leaf in half to minimize evaporation (and the need for watering). Dip the other end in powdered rooting hormone; plant the cuttings in trays filled with a soilless mix and perlite. Cover with a plastic bag, and stash in a shady location, misting regularly to keep the leaf hydrated.
Rooting hydrangea cuttings, I love hydrangeas. If we ever get to buy a house, I will need to know this.

nail polish + recycled lightbulbs= yard art. These would make great Christmas ornaments!
Recycled lightbulbs for garden art. (These are painted with nail polish.) I have some solar-lit Christmas ornaments, which I enjoy so much that i have left up year-round. However, I think a raccoon pulled off one of the balls, so I just have a miniscule green light that pulses on and off for that one strand. I'm thinking that maybe a frosted light bulb might work as the replacement, if it's not too heavy.
