Bratislava Castle. Bratislava Castle is the main castle of Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. The massive rectangular building with 4 corner towers stands on an isolated rocky hill of the Little Carpathians directly above the Danube river in the middle of Bratislava. The location provides excellent views of Bratislava, Austria and, in clear weather, parts of Hungary. Many legends are connected with the castle.
Caernarvon;architecturally 1 of the most impressive of all castles in Wales. It's defensive capabilities were not as powerful as those of Edward I's other castles, but Caernarvon was instead intended as a seat of power a symbol of English dominance over the Welsh.Caernarvon is located at the south end of the Menai Strait between north Wales & Anglesey.During Edward I's invasions, this was a strategic place to build a castle. The Menai Strait provided fast water access and travel.
