    Homemade Salted Caramel Mocha Recipe ◦1 shot espresso or 3/4 c coffee ◦1 1/2 – 2 T caramel sauce ◦1-2 T cocoa powder (the hot chocolate kind, not the unsweetened baking kind – I used Archer Farms dark choc cocoa) ◦Pinch of sea salt (Starbucks uses a blend of smoked sea salt & turbinado sugar for sprinkling on top) ◦1/2 c milk ◦Whipped cream (opt) ◦ Caramel sauce & sea salt to drizzle/sprinkle on top Caramel Recipe ◦1/2 cup sugar ◦3 T salted butter, cubed ◦
1/4 c heavy cream, @ room temp

Spread snickers on bottom of pie crust. Next layer the apples next. Then drizzle caramel on top. Combine cool whip, cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk together in a small bowl and spread on top. Drizzle with caramel and a few snickers. Place in refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Take out about 5 minutes before serving and top with fresh apple slices.

Just made....I boiled the sugar mixture until "amber" in color to get a darker caramel (like in the picture).....DELICIOUS and RICH and pretty easy!

Boiled can of sweetened condensed milk turned to caramel...yum! Saw this on the Cooking Channel. Great Dipping sauce for apples!

Homemade caramel sauce, not sure if this is the recipe I use, I know it takes quite a while to make; however, it is SO worth the effort!! I just drooled a little bit :)
