I love this - Neat rewards system. 31 quarters in the jar at the beginning of the month, every day that they do not do their chores, they lose a quarter. Whatever is left at the end of the month they exchange for cash and the quarter jar is refilled.

The Bored Jar.  A mix of fun activities and chores.  When the dreaded words are uttered, kids pick a paper and do whatever is on it.  Good or bad.

I'm going to do a bored jar. 200 scraps of paper with "go to your room" on it. Bored Jar: if a kid complains of boredom they have to pick a slip & do the activity, good or bad. It might be going for ice cream, it might be cleaning their room.
