Blooms Taxonomy Classroom Posters not just posters, but conversations that are anchors for the learning and thinking work.

(G) "Classroom Rules" Have a discussion the first day about what it looks like to follow these rules. ie: be ready to learn- be in your seat, quiet and ready with all of your supplies and books you will need.

Excellent concrete way to explain Bloom's taxonomy to second language students.

{Must-Have Educational Apps} Do you have an iPhone or iPad? I would argue your iPhone is much like your TV set, you can use it for good or evil. Sure Angry Birds will keep your child entertained, one could even stretch it and say “they are learning about geometry.” Still, there are much better educational apps out there for your iPhone or iPad that will actually make learning FUN. Check it out.

That was a test for you Stefanie McLaughlin. You passed. :-) The host blogger pulled one of the apps I reviewed because someone else was already had dibs on it for later in the week. Tiffany Dahle would you make the update? Danke!!!

Zina Harrington clearly I am learning something from playing with my kids apps! ;) Darn that host blogger. :) Great app suggestions though! I can't wait to check some of them out. Some of our favorites are Tozzle (amazing puzzles with movement) and StarFall ABCs (anything from StarFall is awesome though!)

Thanks for the StarFall recommendation Stefanie! I will check them out. I feel that way about ABCya. My kindergarten teacher friend recommended their site to us!

Reading apps- Less angry birds and more of this!

Bloom's Taxonomy / new teacher evaluations require evidence of lesson planning for higher level thinking ~ I like thinking of it as a ladder and not a pyramid. All students can get to the top, with a pyramid it feels like only a few can.

bloom's taxonomy never looked so pretty
