Scene from 2011! silent film & Academy Award winner "The Artist " - a must see for lovers of the 20s/30s period!
The Artist - love the hair, dress and make up
The Artist for best costume design! Hell yeah! a classic scene, a classic actress, Bérénice Bejo
The Artist - Directed by Michel Hazanavicius and starring Jean Dujardin and Bérénice Bejo is a French black and white silent film mad in 2011. This is one the most paradoxical sentences one can say. Silent, black and white and 2011? But The Artist is a great film without Expiration date screening the love story between two actors in the golden age of the silent era.
The Artist. My fav scene of the entire movie.

"Les Quatre Cents Coups" is a reference to the French idiom, "faire les quatre cents coups", which means, "to raise hell". In Truffaut’s “Les Quatre Cents Coups”, or “The 400 Blows”, Antoine Doinel is a troubled truant who constantly raises hell for the authority figures in his life. Truffaut creates a meandering narrative that doesn't pretend to build towards an end; instead it embraces the essence of the wandering spirit that is Antoine Doinel.

Still from movie: Cinemagraph--‘Collecting everything we could of theirs, the Lisbon girls wouldn’t leave our minds but they were slipping away. The color of their eyes was fading along with the exact locations… of moles and dimples. From five, they had become four, and they were all the living and the dead, becoming shadows. We would have lost them completely if the girls hadn’t contacted us.’ The Virgin Suicides (1999)

James Gandolfini - Sept 18th 1961 - June 19th 2013. Died of an apparent heart attack while on vacation with his family in Italy. He was 51 years old. Gandolfini was best known for his roles as mob boss Tony Soprano on the hit HBO show The Sopranos. James Gandolfini was a force to reckon with a true power house of an actor and he will truly be missed.
Actor James Gandolfini at the Regency Hotel in New York.Gandolfini's latest film "Animal Rescue" is very likely to bring much needed attention to Pit Bulls and shine a light upon the discrimination BSL laws placed on the breed and how misunderstood the breed is.RIP

Orson Welles. “You know what the fellow said – in Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace – and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock.”

"Orson Welles at the Orson Welles Cinema in Cambridge, MA (in the Boston area for the American premiere of his movie, F for Fake and a show at Symphony Hall)"
George Orson Welles (May 6, 1915 – October 10, 1985, age 70) was an American actor, director, writer and producer who worked extensively in theater, radio and film. He is best remembered for his innovative work in all three media, most notably Caesar (1937), a groundbreaking Broadway adaption of Julius Caesar. The War of the Worlds (1938), one of the most famous broadcasts in the history of radio; and Citizen Kane (1941), which is consistently ranked as one of the all-time greatest films.
George Orson Welles (1915 - 1985). per a mi, el millor director que ha tingut el cinema americà i, a més, gran actor i una veu increible!

This neat infographic chart Illustrates the body counts tallied from each of Quentin Tarantino’s eight most violent films throughout his career, with Inglorious Basterds (2009) topping the list at 396 total deaths. (From VANITY FAIR)
Damn. That guys likes to kill off characters. The ever increasing death rate of Tarantino movies is an interesting aspect of his film making. I've heard rumors of a Kill Bill 3. I bet an entire army falls on the ever-so-present samurai sword. Bec
