Egg Nog: Over low heat combine milk, vanilla, cinnamon, cinnamon stick & clove in a saucepan. Rise the heat slowly and bring to a slow boil. Take off heat & let the cinnamon stick seep for 2 minutes & remove. In the bowl of a mixer combine egg yolks & sugar. Whisk together until pale & fluffy. With the mixer on low, pour hot milk mixture into the egg yolks whisk until well incorporated. Pour the mixture back into the saucepan & heat for 5 mins continually stirring, until thickened. Stir in rum.
