    Charles "Chuck" Cooper - Born in Pittsburgh & graduated from Westinghouse H.S. Was Duquesne University's first black basketball player. Became the first black player drafted into the NBA, signing with the Boston Celtics. After NBA career, became Pittsburgh's first black department head as director of parks & recreation in 1970.
