Homemade Mamas: Beauty Products If you have the bad habit of biting your nails, fill a tupperware container with a cup of boiling water and 1/2 oz of gelatin let the water cool and stick your unpolished nails in, let sit until the water is completely cooled and then wash your hands.. this should harden and strengthen your nails!
2 teaspoons of salt combined with 1 teaspoon of wheat germ oil and 2 teaspoons of castor oil. This makes about 25 applications so be sure that you have a bottle with a tight fitting lid to store it. Just combine the ingredients, shake well and use a cotton ball to apply to each nail. Leave it there for 5 minutes and then wipe clean with another cotton ball.
The Bow Mani | The Beauty Department The Beauty Department just keeps pumping out these gorgeous manis and I’m totally in love with this one! Is it just me or does this remind you of a Tiffany’s box?! If you don’t own a nail art pen, my lovely readers suggest using instead the thinest paint brush you can find instead. Cheaper and it means any of your nail polishes can become a ‘pen’!
Do I like this? A trend that is on the rise is painting one nail different from the others, a.k.a an accent nail. It can be a different color, feature a special design, be sparkly, the sky is the limit! The nail of choice is usually the ring finger (lightbulb!)
