Weekly Inspirations for Writers & Creators by Jessica Kristie,

7 Trilogies That Are As Good As 'Lord Of The Rings'

I used to read, a lot – like a book a week, when I was commuting to work. Then I had kids, I still read pretty often but at that point it was mostly books

My Year in Books! See what I read in 2013. (I think there were more I forgot to add on Goodreads)

One of my favorite books. It's a romance, a coming-of-age story, a mystery, a psychological thriller, and just really good.

The Glass Castle. When your children whine that there's never anything in the house to eat or you never get them anything.....have them read this book. They will survive....and hopefully grow into self sufficient, successful adults, like Jeannette.

This is so sad. Then follow it with "The Lost Boy" and "A Man Named Dave".

The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman. This is a heart wrenching, thought provoking story about a couple who makes a decision that will alter their lives, and the life of another family, forever. Without spoiling the plot, I can simply say this is a must read book… and one you’ll want to talk about with someone as soon as you are done reading it! Thank you, Kate, for the recommendation.

Creative approach to a fairy tale story. The incorporation of 'the other side' of well-known fairy tales is entertaining, even if the ending leaves more to be desired.

Beautiful love story with some mystery/suspense. Well written, interesting, clean and inspiring. I love ALL of his books!

One of the best books i have read this year. Inspiring. Inheritance of Loss describes the micro effects of post-colonial globalization beautifully.
