Guinness steak pot pie! Sooooooooo good......changed a few things though. Used leeks instead of onions, used dried herbs (less than called for) and then put the meat and veggies into the pie dish and made a gravy out of the sauce, then poured it on top of the meat. Also doubled the recipe. A new favorite in my house!
Man Meal/Comfort Food 5 Stars Salisbury Steak w Caramelized Onion Gravy Follow recipe exact. I added one more Tbs of cider vinegar at end to get a bit more sweetness. I used white onions. Very lean meat will absorb the rice and be dry, so either use less lean or add more moisture (another egg or Worcestershire) On the table in 45 minutes, as the onions take the longest. Hearty, full of flavor, and gobbled up with rave reviews!!!

Steak & Mushroom Pot Pie #dinner // to go low carb, use a LC gravy (orig recipe uses cornflour=cornstarch + milk to thicken beef stock) -- might try thickening with either chia or some Laughing Cow cheese or just do a reduction sauce. For the crust, use either a cauliflower mash or possibly try Phyllo/Filo dough (NOT Puff Pastry which is much higher in carbs than Phyllo)
