DIY Fabric Whitener It is SO simple and cant believe that it works. You take one cup of cream of tartar (used in baking for some frosting to make them white, so thats why this makes so much sense) and three cups of water. Mix together in a clean bucket and let your-at one time white shirts- soak and enjoy a fresh white shirt after washing in a regular cycle.

whitening whites tip

Do your whites keep fading? Don’t use the bleach, use this easy tip to brighten them quick: When you’re doing laundry, add 1/4 cup of lemon juice to your cycle to immediately brighten your whites

2 parts hydrogen peroxide, 1 part Dawn dish soap (just the regular kind), and some baking soda. I also used a small scrub brush to scrub them really well. I did the cleaning in the bathtub since I don't have a laundry room. I scrubbed each dingy section for 1-2 minutes with the brush, then let the shirts sit for an hour before washing them in a regular wash cycle.
