Grands!® Monkey Bread

1/2 cup Raisins


3/4 cup Butter or margarine

1 cup Brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 cup Granulated sugar

2 cans Pillsbury (16.3 oz each) pillsbury grands! flaky layers refrigerated biscuits

    Classic monkey bread recipe, oozing with warm caramel and cinnamon. To halve the recipe bake in 8x8 in pan for 27 mins Ingredients 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon 2 cans (16.3 oz each) Pillsbury® Grands!® Homestyle refrigerated buttermilk biscuits 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, if desired 1/2 cup raisins, if desired 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar 3/4 cup butter or margarine, melted Steps 1) Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease 12-cup fluted tube pan with shortening or cooking spray. In large -storage plastic food bag, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon. 2) Separate dough into 16 biscuits; cut each into quarters. Shake in bag to coat. Arrange in pan, adding walnuts and raisins among the biscuit pieces. 3) In small bowl, mix brown sugar and butter; pour over biscuit pieces. 4) Bake 28 to 32 minutes or until golden brown and no longer doughy in center. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Turn upside down onto serving plate; pull apart to serve. Serve warm.

One of my favorites. Going to compare this to the recipe I've used for years.

Monkey Bread made with Grands biscuits....I adjusted the recipe and use melted butter to dip the quartered biscuits and then coat them with sugar/brown sugar mixture

Dough 2 cups flour 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 cup lukewarm milk 6 Oz fresh yeast or 1 envelope active dry yeast 1/8 cup melted butter 1 egg yolk 1 tbsp sugar Filling: 1/4 cup softened butter 4-5 tbsp sugar 3 tsp cinnamon

Coconut Bread: Substitute coconut oil for butter (less "bad" fat) and used sweetened coconut ground into powder instead of regular coconut flakes.
