Southern Traditions to keep alive. 1 Setting the table with real cloth napkins. 2 writing thank you notes. 3 saying sir or ma'am. 4 giving a stranger a helping hand. 5 sitting on the proch and rocking for a spell. 6 slow cooking all day long. 7 setting out the cheese straws and sweet tea for company. 8 canning, quilting crocheting-our grandmothers did them to make do, but we can do them to make a home. 9 pearls go with everything!

God made all creatures beautiful... He just spent a little more time on Southern Belles :)... Life in the south quote - South of the Mason Dixon Line - Maryland to down yonder! #Southern lady

I've always said Southern is a state of mind...I'm not from the deep South but I'm from below the Mason Dixon and I have way more in common with the Belles than any yank ;)

On a honest note, no one is taking me out of the South…this is home and it’s where I belong :)

If you like southern girls raise your glass, If you don't raise your standards. TFM The truth BABY!!!!

Dearheart, raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock, meaner'n hell, sweating like a whore in church, never saw the back of a hand, go around your ass to get to your elbow, don't make a lick of sense, dumb as a doornail, lie like a rug, Lord love a duck, colder'n a witch's titty, rode hard and hung up dry, don't have a pot to piss in, dumber'n a bag of bricks, busy as a cat on a hot tin roof, fly off the handle, no axe to grind, in high cotton, too big for your britches, spring chicken...

The South- perfect explanation....but "ain't" is in my vocabulary.

The second half is pretty great with all the slang terms we use. Goodness knows I'll need this is we end up in yankee land
