DIY Lego Table--I have/had some end tables like this... If I can find them in the storage building, I can do this!!!

LEGO Table from IKEA. The bins (also from IKEA) are made to slide into all the nice slots. The table top is made from a 5' x 5' piece of baltic birch plywood cut to 4' 8". I rounded the corners of the top, routed 1/8" edge, and sanded it using an orbital sander. spray paint which matched the blue LEGO color exactly, and then a clear coat) bought from Home Depot.

You can find old file cabinets at second hand shops for dirt cheap; makes a cute book holder, no?

Already have a small lego table but son is outgrowing it. Would love to do this on a bigger size table for him. Would be good for a kid's playroom.

    The table is from IKEA (LACK) and it's only $10 so it would be inexpensive too! :)

    We have the table & the lego base plate, but not sure what type of glue to use. The photo looks like construction adhesive. Wonder if it worked.

    Yeah I would say that glue should work. If you never need to take it apart super glue would work.

    Want to make this for a birthday gift but wondering if anyone who has glued it can let us know what they used and how well it worked.

    we have tried a spray adhesive, and rubber cement...with both we have had it bubble up....any ideas of what would be better?
