Singita Sasakwa Lodge (Singita Grumeti Reserves, Tanzania). "Each of the Edwardian-style cottages at this lodge has a claw-footed bathtub that looks out over the infinite plains and diverse wildlife of the Serengeti. Even if you aren't brushing your teeth or showering, you can still unwind in these oversize bathrooms—they're large enough to fit an armchair where you can sit and enjoy the views."

OK so maybe some of the decor is a little too "What's Eating Gilbert Grape." But of course the owners of Brooklyn's Moon River Chattel have an amazing second home. Looking at photos of it fuels a silly fantasy where I buy a derelict old place and fix it up myself with whimsical touches here and there ... Alas, I haven't a DIY bone in my body let alone the patience needed for such a project. Still, a girl can dream.

Sort of. Repurposed a similar looking changing table in the bathroom. It doesn't look as well put together. Mostly because it's the kid's bathroom (no candles) and I don't own that many matching towels.

Bathroom with a View..oh man I would enjoy this so much.

White tub under wooden roof

Mermaid wall. I actually think I would like this outside by the pool.. water feature or something..

An eccentric handmade shelf, with a backdrop of an assortment of kilim wall tapestries, a cowhid rug on the floor, a more industrial office chair and desk to the left (from what I can make out)... all give this space its liveliness, pattern, texture and undeniable bohemian chic.
